Pay Per Click Advertise

If you have ever invested in yellow page advertising then it might be in your best interests to invest in advertising on the major search engines such as google or yahoo. If you have recently picked up a copy of your local yellow page directory, I am sure you have realized how much smaller it has gotten over the years. Today many users are switching to the internet in regards to many purchases they will be making.

Computers are extremely commonplace today. Users can access the internet from home, work, business, and even places like libraries and coffee bars. Cell phones even have the capability of accessing the web. The yellow page directories are a dying breed and as future generations continue to grow papers and magazines will continue to see their circulation decrease.

Pay per click has its advantages over advertising in the local newspaper or directory. For one, you only pay when someone actually clicks on your advertisement. When it comes to the paper products you will pay a flat rate for simply appearing. Impressions are defined as the number of times your advertisement appears but is not clicked on. So if you sell widgets ,and ten users see your ad, and only five users click on the ad, you will have 10 impressions with only 5 true clicks.
